God is Spirit (John 4:25) and we were created in God's image (Gen 1:27).
Galatians 5 talks about living in the freedom of the Spirit. The fruit of ones life indicates their ability to live freely in the internal Spirit Man of God.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other." (Gal 5:22-26, NIV)
1 Corinthians 6:20 tells us to honor God with our bodies. This scripture was written as part of teaching against sexual immorality. We can also apply this scripture to how well we care for our physical bodies. How we fuel our bodies and how we condition our bodies directly impacts our ability to serve to wholly worship God in all that we do. Even the Proverbs 31 Woman had strong arms to help her do her vigorous work!
Healthy eating and movement that helps with strengthening, endurance, and flexibility are vital for our bodily maintenance as we age.
Many ladies enjoy proper skin care and cosmetic tips to help their natural beauty shine through. Feel free to visit my Mary Kay website to explore this more.
Additionally, it is important for us to make sure we stay current with the recommended screening guidelines for our gender and age.
Emotions are a natural part of our make-up. We have an entire limbic system that is dedicated to regulation of emotion and behavior.
We can care for our emotions is many ways, and learning to manage emotions is necessary. Romans 12 tells us not to be conformed to this World, but to instead be transformed by the renewing of our mind. Emotions impact behavior. We have the ability to direct our thoughts, which guide our emotions. We can renew our minds through scripture meditation.
We can also journal, pray, and seek Christian counseling to help navigate emotions.
The Bible is full of history that establishes His purpose for family and a foundation for family structure.
Jesus was a social person who interacted with people intimately.
Many places in the Bible direct us to encourage one another, to love others, and to meet together. We can also find ways to deal with conflict and other social issues.
Its is important to understand that all that we have is given by God. We only have it because He allows us to have it. This dimension of wellness address areas such as giving, stewardship, debt, etc.
Not only should we get enrichment from our work but work and our attitude toward work should also honor God. Can your work place be a field of ministry?
Some of us are Stay At Home Moms. It can seem unrewarding and mundane, but we have to learn to approach mothering and/or homemaking with a spirit of gratitude and worship.
